Division 2 girls hockey: Emily Rourke, Wellesley top Notre Dame in OT, repeat as state champs

It took a little extra Sunday morning to win back-to-back state titles for Wellesley.
Late into the first overtime period, fifth-seeded Wellesley got the game-winner from junior Emily Rourke with just 19.2 ticks left to lift the Raiders over No. 7 Notre Dame, 3-2, at the Garden in the Division 2 state final.
“It's awesome,” Wellesley coach P.T. Donato said about winning his second state title in as many years. “It feels great. It was great game. In my opinion, the best two teams in Division 2. NDA played a tough, up-and-down game.... It's a very special memory for us.”

Division 4 girls hoop: Cathedral wins another state title

WORCESTER - Despite battling through injuries and personal tragedy, Cathedral showed how resilient their team was all season long.
After a year's absence, the Panthers returned to the top of the Division 4 girls basketball world Saturday with a 65-36 victory over Hopkins Academy at WPI. Tt's the third title in four seasons for Cathedral, all under head coach Clinton Lassiter.
