17-year-old shot, killed in West Englewood
CHICAGO - A 17-year-old was shot and killed Friday evening in West Englewood.
At around 7:25 p.m., police responded to the 6900 block of South Ada on the report of a person shot.
Police said a 17-year-old boy was near a sidewalk when he was shot in the chest and armpit. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police: 16-year-old girl shot in head on West Side
CHICAGO - A 16-year-old girl was shot in the head Friday evening while in a West Side residence.
At around 6:50 p.m., police responded to the 4300 block of West Adams on the report of a person shot.
Police said a 16-year-old girl was inside a residence when she was shot in the head. The girl was transported to Mt. Sinai in critical condition.
A person of interest was taken in for questioning.
