Federico Pellegrino wins again at cross-country World Cup

DRESDEN, Germany - Italy's Federico Pellegrino claimed his second cross-country World Cup win in as many days with victory in the team sprint with Dietmar Noeckler on Sunday.
Pellegrino and Noeckler completed the 6×1.3-kilometre course in a combined time of 12 minutes, 18.31 seconds, beating Sweden's Emil Joensson and Teodor Peterson by 1 minute, 7 seconds.
Andrey Krasnov and Gleb Retivykh of Russia were third, 1.23 off the pace.
Ida Ingemarsdotter and Maja Dahlqvist of Sweden won the women's team sprint in 13:33.40, beating compatriots Hanna Falk and Stina Nilsson by 0.16.

OBERHOF, Germany - After three events without a win, Olympic champion Felix Loch won a luge World Cup to stretch his lead in the overall standings on Sunday. Loch, whose mistake allowed Austria's Wolfgang Kindl to claim the win in Koenigssee last weekend, was fastest in both runs in Oberhof and won in a combined time of 1 minute, 25.591 seconds, beating Russia's Semen Pavlichenko by 0.267 seconds. German teammate Andi Langenhan was third, 0.295 behind, ahead of Austria's Reinhard Egger and Russia's Roman Repilov.

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland - World Cup leader Johannes Lochner won a four-man bobsled event on Sunday and edged closer to the season-long title. World champion Lochner drove his crew - Sebastian Mrowka, Joshua Bluhm and Christian Rasp - to a combined two-run time which was 0.14 seconds faster than fellow German Francesco Friedrich. Going into the final race next weekend at their home track Koenigsee, Lochner leads Friedrich in the standings.
