Chris Sale and the Boston Red Sox elicited the loudest cheers of the afternoon Saturday - at TD Garden, during the second period of the Boston Bruins' game against the Detroit Red Wings. With 13:53 to play in the second period, with the Bruins ahead by two, the game paused for an extended media timeout. A montage of Red Sox highlights played on the center ice scoreboard. The building erupted to its loudest level of the day, louder than any of the Bruins' goals in their 8-2 win.
