RALEIGH, N.C. - Detroit trailed Carolina by two goals heading into the third period. Turns out, the Red Wings had the Hurricanes right where they wanted them.
Anthony Mantha scored twice and Frans Nielsen netted the deciding goal in the shootout as the Red Wings erased a two-goal deficit for the third straight game and beat the Hurricanes 4-3 Saturday night.
“That's kind of our sweet spot right now,” Detroit coach Jeff Blashill said. “Maybe next game, we'll start down two.”

SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers are starting to gain momentum.
Aleksander Barkov scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, and the Panthers beat the New York Islanders 4-2 on Saturday night.
Troy Brouwer, Mike Hoffman and Denis Malgin also scored for the Panthers, who won their third straight. Roberto Luongo made 29 saves for his third straight win after missing nearly a month with a knee injury.

TAMPA, Fla. - Rookie Brady Tkachuk had a goal and an assist, and Ryan Dzingel scored a tiebreaking goal during Ottawa's four-goal third period as the Senators rallied to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-4 on Saturday night.
Matt Duchene, Bobby Ryan, Colin White and Mark Stone also scored for the Senators. Craig Anderson stopped 24 shots.
Mathieu Joseph had two goals and an assist for the Lightning, and Victor Hedman scored in his return from an injury. Braydon Coburn also scored and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 28 saves.
