Cuomo urges Cohoes mayor to resign amid new abuse allegations

COHOES - Gov. Andrew Cuomo, reacting to Sunday's Times Union report that Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse used physical violence against his wife and daughter, urged Morse to resign and said State Police were reopening their investigation of Morse in light of the new allegations.
"The frightening and egregious evidence of domestic violence against Mayor Morse, as documented in recent media reports, cannot be ignored," Cuomo said in a statement Sunday afternoon.
