President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he hoped the escalating situation in Hong Kong can be resolved peacefully.
"The Hong Kong thing is a very tough situation, very tough. We'll see what happens but I'm sure it will work out. I hope it works out for everybody - including China, by the way," Trump said of the ongoing pro-democracy protests.
After these comments, Trump took to Twitter and suggested he's being blamed for the situation in Hong Kong.
