Boston College falls short vs. Clemson

Boston College had the remainder of its season compromised in Saturday night's 27-7 reigning ACC champion and No. 2 Clemson at Alumni Stadium. BC quarterback Anthony Brown suffered an apparent right shoulder injury five minutes into the game and did not return. EJ Perry of Andover replaced Brown and could be under center when the Eagles face Florida State next Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla. Clemson improved to 10-0 and clinched the Atlantic Division at 7-0.

BOSTON - Trevor Lawrence threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score and No. 2 Clemson knocked Boston College quarterback Anthony Brown out of the game early on the way to routing the 17th-ranked Eagles 27-7 on Saturday night.
The battle for first-place in the ACC Atlantic Division was not much of a fight. The Tigers wrapped up a fourth straight trip to the Atlantic Coast Conference title game as division champions and kept rolling toward another trip to the College Football Playoff.

BC QB Brown leaves Clemson game in 1st quarter

Boston College quarterback Anthony Brown left Saturday night against second-ranked Clemson after one series following a hit by defensive lineman Christian Wilkins.
Brown got the pass off on a third-and-9 but was thrown down on his shoulder by the 315-pound tackle. The pass was incomplete. When the rest of the Eagles went to the sideline for the punting team, Brown remained on the field.
He was taken to the locker room, and the school announced in the second quarter that he would not return.
Backup quarterback E.J. Perry took over on BC's next possession.
